The paper casting process is a raw exploration of simple ideas from panting and sculpture.  Color and texture are used intentionally throughout the creation of a paper casting. The paper pulp is cast directly on the woodblock, left to dry and later printed in a separate step using a traditional etching press.  The basic material is plant-based (cotton) broken down into pulp and saturated in pigments with additives.  Each piece of paper is unique and can not be replicated giving each work a specific identity.
